Layer 2 - Validation
The Element Ledger Technology, or the software and accounting layer comprising the source code of the Node Network DGF, and the operably associated smart contract(s) built on top of the Element reward chain network, powers validation on the network.
Licensed software nodes input or confirm data and trigger smart contracts that assign daily action points. These points are then converted into digital rewards on the Element Blockchain. This accounting layer ensures accurate tracking and distribution of rewards.
Layer 1 - Element Blockchain
The Element Blockchain is a reward chain that operates on a fork of the Ethereum blockchain and uses a Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism. This layer is governed by the DGF through a ratified charter.
